Chocolate Heaven in one Bite

I am on a continual quest for the perfect bite of chocolate. Being a connoseur of chocolate is not the easiest thing as some people think for one becomes quite picky. If you listen to your palate after sampling many different varietals (Yes, I did use that term for chocolate and not just wine!) it is apparent that there are many different qualities of chocolate. Think of it in terms of French classifications: you have a grand, superior and Premier. Eventually you can taste a big difference from a 65% cocoa to 80% cocoa.

This being said, there are also amazing ways to use dark chocolate to please the palate. The moment I first bit into a Fran's Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Carmel I just about melted myself. The salt hits your toungue at the same moment as the intense dark chocolate follwed by waves of silky and not too rich carmel as a slight afterthought. It is best to savour this delicacy in two bites...making sure to get equal amounts carmel in each.

The thing about these little treasures is that they disappear quickly from store shelves because they have developed a little cult following! They are made artisianally in small batches in the Pacific Northwest and can also be ordered online (http://www.franschocolates.com/) which is a very smart way to go.

Divine!

What it all means...

The name sounds almost too good to be true...but just think back in your mind to the last time you tasted a dark, intense, piece of chocolate or a sweet and fresh strawberry and exclaimed to yourself- "This is Divine!" There are many earthly delights that bring such expressions to mind, food being one, and taking the time to focus on them and appreciate the experience of enjoyment is key to happiness, weight management, and longevity!

I am a person that seeks to expreience this reaction often because I love food, the outdoors, and laughter. In seeking these experiences throughout life, I have laughed more, eaten more, drank more, and enjoyed people and daily experiences...more! Whether here in the Bay Area or in exotic places such as Thailand, Japan, Paris and London, there are wonders of the palate and the senses waiting to be discovered.

So get ready to learn about food and drink delicacies, life-enjoyment tips, beauty bits and travel logs! And most of all...dream to live and live to dream!
